What if you had to learn English as an adult?
Please join the University Park Woman’s Club as we welcome our guest speaker, Jennifer Kubit, Director of the Adult Education ESL program at Prince George’s County Community College. Adult Education ESL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes are for adults from other countries who want to learn to speak, understand, read, and write English. The ESL program offers a variety of courses that includes Adult Education ESL, Transition ESL, and Academic ESL classes, as well as Career Pathways ESL Certificate Programs.
Jennifer was a teacher in New Mexico before moving to Maryland, where she taught at Cesar Chavez Elementary School in Prince George’s County until 2007. She has worked with the ESL program at Prince George’s Community College for 16 years conducting intake and assessment for incoming students, as well as teaching a high school preparation program for adult…
