Winter Penny Project Collections to Benefit Shepherd's Cove Emergency Shelter

The Club will again be collecting your loose change to donate to two charities during the year. Empty your pockets and the bottom of your purses and bring the coins to the monthly meetings. This fall, proceeds will benefit Shepherd's Cove  Emergency Shelter for Women and Children.

This organization, located in Prince George’s County, serves 600-700 women and children each year -- providing food, health aid, transportation, substance abuse counseling, education and employment assistance, and after-school programs for children 5-12 years old. There is an emergency 100-bed shelter for transitioning into permanent housing.
